The Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology organizes the Student Scientific Research Conference for the academic year 2021-2022 (FAST Tech Show 2021-2022)

On the afternoon of February 13, 2022, the Student Scientific Research Conference (FAST Tech Show 2021-2022) of the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) - University of Science and Technology - University of Danang was organized to encourage creativity and passion for scientific research in students. The conference was held in an online form to ensure safety against Covid19.

Within the framework of cooperation between Logi VietFrance Company and Vietnam-France High Quality Engineer Training Program (PFIEV) - Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST), on the morning of January 24, 2022 at FAST, Building C, University of Science and Technology - University of Danang took place the signing ceremony of an agreement to grant graduate internship scholarships in France between Logi VietFrance company and the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) for students of the Vietnam-France High Quality Engineer training Program (PFIEV).

FACULTY OF ADVANCED SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ORGANIZED GRADUATION THESIS PROTECTION FOR STUDENTS OF VIETNAM-FRANCE HIGH QUALITY ENGINEER TRAINING PROGRAM COURSE 2016

In the face of complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, in order to ensure the academic year plan, the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) organized a graduation defense session for students majoring in Automatic Manufacturing, Industrial Informatics and Software Engineering under the Vietnam-France High Quality Engineer training program (PFIEV) course 2016-2021  in online form for all thematic groups taking place from 16 to 19/6/2021. FAST successfully organized the online graduation thesis defense, meeting the requirements according to Official Dispatch No. 707/BGDĐT-GDĐH dated February 26, 2021 of the Ministry of Education and Training on guiding the assessment of graduation thesis in the online form in 2021 during the time of the Covid-19 epidemic and the progress of the online protection session are recorded, fully recorded and archived to serve the supervision, inspection and accreditation of education quality where required.

FAST students practice and do Capstone Project abroad

The year 2020 continues to be a successful year for the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology in cooperating with foreign partner universities to send students for internships and graduation projects (Capstone Project) as well as graduate study abroad. This year is also the second year in a row that FAST continues to cooperate with LogiViet-France Company and La Soget Company based in Le Havre city (France) - the world's leading company in software solutions. for the field of global logistics - to send 2 students majoring in Software Engineering of the PFIEV Program to France to practice and do Capstone Project at the company's headquarters.

100% of students' graduation projects are proposed by domestic and foreign enterprises and research institutes

Cooperation with enterprises and research institutes domestic and abroad in implementing internships and preparing graduation projects (Capstone Project - CP) for students is one of the important and pioneering activities of FAST in improving the quality of training, is “where academic knowledge meets industrial reality” – said by Assoc. PhD. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of the University In 2020, nearly 80 Capstone Project were proposed by 50 domestic and foreign enterprises such as Bosch, FPT, Fossil, Synopsys, Viettel, CMC Telecom, GOGET (France)... was sent to work as a Capstone Project at the research lab of famous universities such as G2Elab-Grenoble (France), University of Montréal (Canada), Polytech University Marseille (France), Tokyo University of Electronics and Communication (Japan), National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan).

The Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology is oriented towards applied research associated with innovation

FAST with its strategic orientation of applied research, innovation and digital transformation has been responded to by faculty and students through many domestic and international science and technology activities. Science and technology achievements of FAST Faculty in 2020 are marked by the quantity and quality of scientific research works with 3 articles in the ISI Scopus catalog, more than 10 reports at prestigious international conferences published in Springer, IEEE.

FAST Scholarship - giving wings to dreams

In November 2020, FAST officially launched a scholarship sponsored by Fossil businesses and PFIEV alumni. This is an award for individuals with outstanding academic and scientific or community achievements, always overcoming difficult circumstances to achieve the best.
