University of Science and Technology, University of Danang was honored as the university with a startup ecosystem at the Startup Festival 2022

On the afternoon of January 19, 2022, in Hanoi, the Startup Festival 2022 program by Business Forum Magazine (Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry - VCCI) was held with the participation of leaders of many ministries, industry, local, representatives of a number of international organizations, start-up promotion organizations, mentors, startup coaches, investors, sponsors and business community.

Speaking at the opening of the 2022 Startup Festival, Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), emphasized that this event is a traditional festival that has been maintained by VCCI for the past 19 years.

In the general global development in the face of the Covid-19 epidemic, many provinces and cities across the country have both struggled against the epidemic and tried to overcome all difficulties to maintain and develop their economies. For the first time in history, Vietnam's economy grew more than 6% negative. The world is becoming more vulnerable to the requirements of sustainable development, emphasized the VCCI Chairman. However, there are still bright spots emerging, which are the strong vitality of Vietnamese enterprises and the entrepreneurial spirit of the Vietnamese people, Mr. Pham Tan Cong affirmed.

Vietnam is ranked third by international organizations in the group of three most dynamic innovative startup ecosystems in Southeast Asia, behind Indonesia and Singapore. University of Science and Technology, The University of Danang was honored as one of three Vietnamese universities that have a startup ecosystem.

Every year, the University always creates an academic environment, promotes scientific research, creativity and entrepreneurship among students. With a team of highly qualified lecturers with experience in research, they have oriented and guided students to create many products that ensure scientific and practical application. During the Covid-19 epidemic, lecturers and students of the school have invented and transferred many useful products that are highly appreciated by the society to serve the community for epidemic prevention.
