University of Science and Technology, University of Danang cooperated with Fujikin Group and the Management Board of Da Nang Hi-Tech Zone and Technology Zones

On the morning of January 21st, 2022, University of Science and Technology, University of Danang had a meeting with FUJIKIN Group and the Management Board of Hi-Tech Zone and Da Nang Technology Zones to launch the leadership of FUJIKIN Da Nang Company and implement a cooperation plan in the upcoming time.

Overview of the working session

Attending the meeting, the representatives of FUJIKIN Group were Mr. Shinya Nojima – Chairman, Mr. Kenichiro Wakisaka - General Director and Director of R&D Company, DNFC and relevant department managers (online). On the side of the Management Board of the Hi-tech Zone and Da Nang Industrial Zones, there is Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dai - Head of Investment Promotion Management and representatives of relevant departments. On the side of the University of Technology, there is Associate Professor Doan Quang Vinh – Master of the University, Dr. Cao Quang Ban – Head of Department of Science and Technology and International Cooperation.

At the beginning of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh – Master of the University congatulated on a peaceful, healthy and successful New Year to FUJIKIN Group and the Management Board of the Hi-tech Zone and Da Nang Technology Zones. He confirmed the importance of the FUJIKIN Da Nang Research, Development and Production Center project. It is being built in Da Nang Hi-tech Zone and he congratulated that the project will be completed on schedule so that the cooperation activities between the University and FUJIKIN can be implemented quickly.

On this occasion, FUJIKIN Group introduced to the University and the Management Board of Da Nang CNC Zone and Technology Zones the members of the management board of Da Nang FUJIKIN Co., Ltd. (DNFC).

FUJIKIN launched the Company's management board

Mr. Shinya Nojima – Chairman of FUJIKIN Group has reported progress of R&D Center project and it currently has completed to 40%. FUJIKIN hopes that they will join the University of  Science and Technology, University of Da Nang. They can use flexibly skilled and professional human resources, and make effective use of the technologies that the group owns. The purpose of it is to develop and commercialize research products in accordance with the policy of the Central region.

FUJIKIN R&D Center project progress report

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dai - Head of Investment Promotion Management Division of the Management Board of Danang Hi-tech Zone and Technological Zones highly appreciated the cooperation between FUJIKIN and University of Science and Technology, University of Danang, as a reliable partner in scientific research and providing high-quality human resources. He said: The management board will always make efforts to create conditions for the project to be implemented on schedule, support the handling of difficulties and problems from FUJIKIN. At the same time, the management board will observe the progress and closely monitor the project. He expects that FUJIKIN will speed up the progress to complete the project on time, especially on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of FUJIKIN's investment in Vietnam.

At the end of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh thanked for the congratulations from FUJIKIN and the Management Board of the Da Nang CNC Zone and Technology Zones and the sponsorship of FUJIKIN for the 45th anniversary event of the University, particularly the sponsorship of equipment for research. He stated that the cooperation relationship between the two sides has taken the first steps extremely excited. In the upcoming time, the University will coordinate with FUJIKIN to implement effective cooperation in 04 areas: Hydrogen energy production and use; Environment; New generation advanced medical devices and Robot types (including drones). Accordingly, the University will establish many research groups, closely combine research contents to the working environment and share research machinery and equipment, and implement a common research room. Students will participate in research with lecturers, accumulate knowledge and experience to become human resources for the company in the future.

I also hope that the cooperation between the Management Board of Hi-tech Zone and Da Nang Technological Zones along with FUJIKIN will be closer and closer, further support for the research centers of domestic enterprises.

The session happened successfully with clear collaborative directions and high performance expectations

Mr. Shinya Nojima – Chairman of FUJIKIN Group promised that the R&D center's team would put a lot of effort, passion in research and create more value for Vietnam. He added that the University's outstanding students who are admitted to work at the Center will receive the same salary as Japanese experts. In addition, commercial works, the group will have a commitment to profit sharing for research professionals according to specific regulations.
