The 24th National Conference on Hydromechanical Science (VCFM24) in 2021 was successfully held on December 18, 2021, by online form via Zoom platform at 03 bridge points in Hanoi and Da Nang. and Ho Chi Minh City. Co-Chairman of the Conference is Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Van Huan, Chairman of the Association of Hydraulic Mechanics and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Quang Vinh, Rector of University of Science and Technology, University of Danang.

The National Scientific Conference on Hydraulic Mechanics is a regular activity of the Association of Hydraulic Mechanics held once a year (since 1998), with the aim of presenting, discussing and exchanging research results. The latest research in the field of Hydraulic Mechanics and related fields of the members of the Association of Hydromechanical Mechanics and domestic and international scientists. The scientific reports presented at the Conference are selected through the critical opinions of specialized experts to be printed in the annual "A collection of Works of the National Hydro-Mechanical Science Conference".

This year's conference has gathered more than 100 delegates who are scientists, lecturers and a number of graduate students and graduate students from all parts of the country. The conference is an annual forum for those doing research and teaching in the fields related to Hydraulic Mechanics throughout the country.

Attending the conference, there were the presence of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Khiem - Chairman of Vietnam Mechanics Association; GS. Dr. Bui Van Ga - Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training. On the side of 02 co-organizers, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Huan - Chairman of the Association of Hydraulic Mechanics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of University of Science and Technology, University of Danang.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of University of Science and Technology, UD emphasized that besides training activities, scientific research activities, technology transfer and innovation serving the community is one of the priority aspects in the School. The Scientific Conference on Hydraulic Mechanics has attracted many lecturers of the University to participate in research and writing articles with high scientific content.

In the opening session, the Conference Organizing Committee awarded Vu Tat Uyen Award for excellent scientific reports in 2021 and awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Association of Hydraulic Mechanics for excellent scientific articles in 2020 and 2021, in order to honor authors/author groups who have made great contributions to the development of Hydromechanical Science in particular and Vietnamese Science in general.

The conference took place at 03 bridge points including 09 sessions with 77 scientific reports on the fields and basic issues of Hydraulic Mechanics: Environmental Hydraulics Mechanics; Hydromechanics with Climate Change and New Energy; River-sea dynamics, engineering; Computational hydrodynamics;… Each session was lively with critical discussions, exchanges and discussions among scientists, authors/research topic groups... in order to come up with solutions. practical and useful solutions applied in practice.
