Quang Nam Province and University of Science and Technology, UD promote cooperation in the field of Science and Technology

On the morning of January 11, 2022, University of Science and Technology, the University of Danang had a visit and worked with the Leaders of the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province on the implementation and promotion of cooperation in Science & Technology activities.

Attending the meeting, on the side of Quang Nam Province there were Mr. Ho Quang Buu - Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, Board of Directors of Department of Science and Technology and related departments. On the side of University of Science and Technology, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of the University and teachers who are leaders of a number of relevant functional units and some scientists of the University.

Dr. Cao Quang Bang – Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation presented the report on S&T activities to Quang Nam province and cooperation plan

To have a basis for exchanging and discussing cooperation activities, Dr. Cao Quang Bang – Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation reported on S&T activities of the University; the tasks and professional work that University of Science and Technology has carried out with Quang Nam Province in the last 5 years and then briefly presented the short-term and long-term cooperation plans between the two sides. At the same time, Dr. Cao Quang Bang also presented the proposed S&T tasks that the School's Staff and Lecturer plan to implement in 2022.

Mr. Ho Quang Buu - Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee thanked the school for the visit on the occasion of the new year 2022. He also highly appreciated this meeting, marking the beginning of an intensive cooperation relationship in the field of science and technology between Quang Nam Province and the University. Quang Nam province desperately needs scientists from the University of Science and Technology to participate in solving the province's problems.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of University of Science and Technology, emphasized that this discussion will be the foundation and premise for the two sides to sign a cooperation agreement and concretize activities that both parties 02 interested parties related to S&T, contributing to solving local problems.

Mr. Nguyen Phi Thanh - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Nam Province raised the issues that the two sides need strong cooperation, mainly in the following areas: Expanding the cooperation in S&T; towards comprehensive cooperation; supporting the database of experts of the University; training high quality human resources...

The meeting took place enthusiastically after 3 hours of work and brought positive and positive results. Accordingly, Mr. Ho Quang Buu - Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee has some conclusions as follows: The two sides will arrange to meet once or twice a year to discuss and summarize the results as well as orientation for the next time; the University of Science and Technology is proposed to cooperate with the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Nam Province to implement experimentally the tasks that the school staff has successfully accepted for Quang Nam Province; the University of Science and Technology supports the training of human resources proposed by the province; 02 parties coordinate to implement high-level topics (Ministry, State....); concretize activities to be implemented in 2022 and assign the Department of Science and Technology to coordinate with DUT to draft a cooperation agreement with specific contents and a detailed implementation plan...
