The Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology holds the graduation ceremony for students of Vietnam-France high-quality engineer training program

From June 15 to 17, 2020 at the lecture hall C, University of Science and Technology, the University of Danang, the graduation ceremony was held for students majoring in Automated Production, Industrial Informatics and Software engineering belongs to the Vietnam-France High Quality Engineer Training Program (PFIEV), Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST faculty), course 2015-2020. The PFIEV program trains engineers according to French standards, stipulating that students have at least 6 months of internship at enterprises, including an internship and graduation project (Stage de fin d'etude) from 4 -6 months must be at the enterprise. Every year, the PFIEV program has about 4-5 internships granted by French partner schools to practice in France in laboratories or companies in France and other countries. Up to now, nearly 100% of students of 3 PFIEV majors have been able to practice and do graduation projects at enterprises.

Participating in this year's graduation ceremony, there were 65 PFIEV students with 41 topics from many different fields such as Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc., along with the support and co-instruction of many large domestic and foreign enterprises (France, Canada): SOGET company in Le Havre city, France; THACO Chu Lai, Viettel High-Tech Industry Corporation (VHT), Viettel Business Solutions Corporation - Central Business Center, FPT Software, VNPT-IT Da Nang, SOGET, Orient Software Danang Company, Enclave Company Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue Power Company, Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation, Tapit Technology Co., Ltd., Foster Quang Ngai Factory, No.1 Communication Joint Stock Company - One Communication Corporation, Translation Co., Ltd. ABX software and services, Code Engine Studio Co., Ltd., PTEK Technical & Trading Co., Ltd., RP, EM & AI Electronics Co., Ltd., Safehorizons, Acexis, Power Now Company, EPC Solar, VIFATECH (Da Nang) , EPC Solar, Huynh Duc Company, Maker Space - University of Danang... and especially the guidance of experienced lecturers from the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology, Faculty of Electrical , Faculty of Traffic Mechanics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology of University of Science and Technology, University of Danang and Polytech University of Marseille, France; University of Montreal, Canada; Laboratory G2Elab-Polytechnic University of Grenoble of France.

Starting last year, all PFIEV students wrote their graduation projects in English and most chose to defend in English or French before the French-Vietnamese Joint Committee - made up of lecturers from University of Science and Technology, University of Danang, guests from businesses and especially professors from French partner universities (Grenoble INP, Polytech Marseille).

The defense ceremony took place in a serious atmosphere; the students presented their reports in English or French confidently. With convincing arguments, clear arguments to answer the critical and interrogating questions of each member of the Council, the students were highly appreciated by the Defense Council for their professional knowledge, skills and communication skills and problem solving skills.

Like the Vietnam-France High-Quality Engineer Training Program (PFIEV), the Vietnamese-American Advanced Program of FAST also sends students to practice and do graduation projects (Capstone Project) in France, Japan, Taiwan… every year from 3 to 5 places in each country. Thus, FAST faculty is the only faculty in the whole university that has applied the sending of final year students to do internships and graduate projects at enterprises for all 5 international cooperation programs, including 2 Vietnamese-American Advanced Programs and 3 programs of Vietnamese-French High-Quality Engineer Training Program (PFIEV), most of the students will be paid by the company when they do internships and are employed after graduation.

Hopefully, with the active support of domestic and international partners and businesses for the students of the Vietnam-France high-quality engineer training program (PFIEV), the Vietnam-US Advanced Program; Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology - University of Danang will continue to develop sustainably, meeting the requirements of training high-quality human resources for the country.
