Seminar Introduction about Artificial Intelligence - 1st AI Seminar by CAPS-Tech
Artificial Intelligence (Artificial Learning) and Machine Learning (Machine Learning, Deep Learning) emerged as very HOT keywords, a hot topic today in the context of the huge amount of data collected from people and the surrounding environment.
At that time, it was ourselves who have superior algorithms and the calculation and storage support of machines that created the products from artificial intelligence and brought great benefits such as saving labor, making human life simpler and saving more time.
With the desire to create a community to research together in this field as well as create conditions for those who are just starting to learn about AI to have the opportunity to cultivate and develop further, on January 26, 2019, the club CAPS - CAPSTECH under the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) held the first seminar on the topic Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning.
In this conference session, CAPSTECH was very fortunate to have 2 speakers who are doing Master of Science Degree in Korea and the US accepted to attend and together with other speakers who are experienced in AI research.
At the first session this morning, Truong Hoang Linh presented the most basic concepts of AI as well as how to pose problems and classify AI problems to give the most reasonable solutions.
Hoang Uyen, a participant in the workshop, asked Mr. Linh a question: “I'm a student majoring in economics, but I'm really interested in AI. My technical knowledge and mathematical thinking are not good while I heard that learning AI is difficult, especially being good at math and programming.” In response to that good question, from the other side of the world, via Skype, Mr. Truong Hoang Linh simply replied: "Your question is completely factual, but you are reassured because according to my observations, most of the people who are studying AI here come from the economic field.” About 20 people attending this event listened attentively to the enthusiastic shares on the other side of the line.
Followed by the presentation of Mr. Le Huu Duy with the implementation options on both hardware and software, its purpose is to choose the ones to create suitable solutions and create Artificial Intelligence applications. With extensive research experience in the field of Computer Vision, Mr. Le Huu Duy presented specifically the functions and parameters of many different devices and solutions. Mr. Vo Hoang Tuyen, along with Ton Quang Hoang Nguyen continued the seminar with the topic of Smart Camera and Natural Language Processing.
This event is the first brick contributing to building a certain foundation of the roof of Artificial Intelligence - Machine Learning. The success of this first session promises to lead to more in-depth follow-ups and more engaging results in the 2nd Seminar on Artificial Intelligence.
