On November 1st, 2018, at the 1st floor of Block A, University of Science and Technology - University of Danang, the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) held  "Maze Runner Robot Race Day 2018" contest. The contest attracted the participation of 10 teams with more than 20 students from the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology. The competition took place extremely tense and dramatic, “Maze Runner Robot Race Day 2018” selected the team with the best performance, Fire Blood (later renamed First Blood). If you have the opportunity to witness the beast of the Fire Blood group in competition, definitely you cannot amazed at the speed of movement when navigating along with its stability. This helps to bring achievements away from other competitors.

Following the success of the contest organized by CapsTech, on November 16th, 2018, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Technology and Education (The University of Danang) successfully organized a Robot Creation Contest "Decoding Maze" in 2018 with the participation of 26 teams from universities in Da Nang city. After 3 hours of intense competition, the final round once again honored the First Blood team to step up to the podium to receive the First prize. Along with that, the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology is also very proud to have Kim Quy team (On Ho Dan Duong 15PFIEV2 and Nguyen Hoang Phuong Trinh) excellently won the third prize. Prior to the Maze Runner Robot Race Day 2018, the robot of Kim Quy team also fought very hard, and also won the final third prize.

To achieve those wonderful results, the team members were very anxious many times to choose the most optimal route detection algorithms. Definitely these maze runners won't stop at those proud achievements. With the current achievements, the group from class 16ECE, Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology, still want to continue to develop and perfect their 'beast' to develop further, participate in competitions of great importance.  Because nothing can stop the fire of passion for scientific research that is still burning in every member of the team. When asked about future research directions, Le Nguyen Trung, a member of the group shared: “The development direction of our team in the near future is to upgrade the hardware like the overseas micromouse versions along with the complete development of the Floodfill algorithm - the world's most optimal maze solving algorithm now.

We hope that Robot Maze Runner together with talented warriors from First Blood 16ECE team will bring more outstanding and proud achievements to University of Science and Technology in general and FAST in particular. More importantly, you are the first flame to light up and spread the spirit of scientific research for the next generations.
