On the afternoon of December 5, 2019, at the Hall 2 of the Smart Building (building S) of the University of Science and Technology - the University of Danang, the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) held a student Scientific Research Conference in the academic year 2019-2020 (FAST Tech Show 2019-2020).

Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Tuan- Head of Department of Testing & Quality Assurance, Dr. Nguyen Le Hoa- Dean of FAST, Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu- Vice Dean, along with staff, lecturers and students of FAST In particular, the Organizing Committee invited Eng. Vo Thanh Van- Viettel Network Technology Research Center (VTTEK) - Viettel Military Telecommunications Group, Eng. Le Cong Vinh Khai - TAPIT Technology Co., Ltd. as the jury of the contest.

In the opening speech of the Conference, Dr. Nguyen Le Hoa - Dean of FAST said: Teachers are very happy and proud to have many groups of students participating in scientific research activities. The students have really studied and learned. We see this through their own products. we hope you continue to promote this spirit in the coming years. Please actively participate in scientific research activities because you will practice many research and problem-solving skills, which will be very useful in their future work.

This year, there are 17 topics proposed to participate in the Faculty of Science and Technology Conference, all of which show high quality and practical investment. In which, there are 12 topics using English to write reports and present research results.

Student Scientific Research Activities of University of Science and Technology - The University of Danang is an important annual activity in training that is always interested and appreciated by the school's leaders, there are many practical application-oriented topics following the start-up movement of engineering students throughout the country and has won many awards at national and international competitions in the field of science and technology for innovation and applied products.  The Organizing Committee of the Scientific Research Student Conference FAST Tech Show 2019-2020 would like to thank the teachers, instructors, and instructors - who have accompanied the students from the time they chose the topic to the time of graduation. get the final finished research product.

Participating in this conference was an exhibition of scientific products of TAPIT Technology Co., Ltd. This is a company that regularly coordinates scientific research with research groups of the University and is a company specializing in researching and designing solutions and equipment for remote sensor and control data collection systems applied Internet of Things; provides short-term technical training courses, kit modules, practical equipment for students and engineers.

At the end of the competition, the Jury selected and awarded the following teams:

The first prize belongs to the topic "Intelligent identification with Fast-R-CNN method" by group Le Tien Nhat, Nguyen Luong Quang, Tran Quang Huy, La Tan Dat class 15PFIEV2)

The second prize belongs to the topic "Fish freshness detector" of the group Nguyen Tran Hong Duc, Le Minh, Vo Ngoc Hai, Bui Anh Nghia, Tran Thi Kim Dung - class 16ECE)

The third prize belongs to the topic "Self -Balance Robot" of the group Nguyen Huynh Dang Khoa, Nguyen Thi Minh Hien, Phan Duy Linh, Huynh Duc Anh Tuan- class 16ES and 16ECE)

The Idea Prize belongs to the topic "Accelerating wK-NN positioning in LiFi networks by kd-Tree algorithm" by group Nguyen Ba Hoang, Vu Pham Trong Cuong - class 17PFIEV2)

Presentation prize belongs to the topic "English learning game" of the group Tran Thanh Tung, Tran Phuoc Anh Tuan-class 16ES

And 04 FAST Tech Top prizes belong to the topics "Camera surveillance system and fall detection" (groups Phung Huu Tai, Dao Viet Hoang, Tran Van Vu class 16PFIEV3); “Early warning system for armed criminals” (groups of Tran Trong Duc, Nguyen Duc Khai, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Nguyen Ngoc Minh Hy-class 16ES); "4-step robot arm" (student Vu Nhat Huy, class 19ECE); The group's "Self -Balance Robot" won 3rd prize.

FAST Tech Show 2019-2020 took place successfully in an exciting and exciting atmosphere. Hopefully, the Conference has helped students equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills in creative science and technology activities. At the same time, create an academic environment through which to promote their passion and nurture their creativity.
