The mid-term meeting within the framework of the “University Governance Innovation in SouthEast Asia” project (PURSEA – Pilotage Universitaire Renové dans le Sud-Est Asiatique)

From 30/11 to 02/12/2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh-Lam, chairman of university council, coordinator of the Univerrsity Governance Innovation in Southeast Asia project (aka., PURSEA) at the University of Danang – University of Science and Technology participated in the mid-term meeting of the project. The PURSEA project is a capacity-building project for 16 universities and research centers including 08 university in Vietnam and Cambodia. This project is supported by the Europenan Union through the European Education and Culture Executive Agency. The objective of this mid-term meeting is threefold: (i) reviewing the activities carred out within the framework of the Work Package No. 06 (WP6); (ii) brainstorming the ideas for the project’s manual; and (iii) training coordinators for the project’s financial activities. On November 11, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Hai – Vice Rector of the University of Danang – University of Science and Technology participated into a meeting of the National Council for the Perfection (CNP) of the High-Quality Engineer Program in Vietnam (PFIEV), organized by Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. The objective of this meeting was to summarize the activities in 2022 and set out the operational direction for 2023.

COMBINATION OF NON-ORTHOGONAL MULTIPLE-ACCESS TECHNIQUES AND MASSIVE MULTI-INPUT, MULTI-OUTPUT ANTENNAS

The 5G generation mobile network is predicted to account for 45% of the total global information traffic by 2025 although this network has only been commercialized since the end of 2020. The increase in information traffic comes from the record increase in the number of users, Internet connected terminals and especially the emergence of more and more smartphones with many applications requiring large transmission traffic. This is posing a huge challenge for the next generation mobile communication networks in terms of ensuring transmission capacity and performance simultaneously.

2021 VIFOTEC Award

On the evening of October 27, 2022 at the Hanoi Opera House, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth Union Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Innovation Support Fund (1992-2022) and the ceremony to summarize and award the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award, the WIPO Award in 2021 (Vifotec) .

Award of Student's Scientific Research in the academic year 2021 - 2022

Towards the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022), The University of Danang (UD) has held "Student's Science and Technology Festival" in 22, October 2022. On this occasion, UD has also summarized and honored the "Award for UD Student's Scientific Research in 2021 - 2022" and exhibited scientific, technological and creative products of the students with the theme: "Spreading the spirit of young innovation." ☘️ With the project: "Experimental analysis of the LQR self-balancing process of the sliding pendulum system controlled by C2000 microprocessor", a fifth-year student, Thai Ba Hoa from Department of Mechanics, University of Science and Technology, was honored to be awarded the second prize from the Director of UD. ☘ Congratulations Thai Ba Hoa.
