The common goal is to train human resources at university and graduate levels with a focus on Environmental Engineering and Environmental & Natural Resources Management with political qualities, good health ethics and a sense of community service, solid knowledge and ability to meet job requirements: pollution control, rational exploitation and use of natural resources, urban and industrial environment management, public health protection towards sustainable development in the period of international integration.

- Environmental Engineering majors often go into technical depth, set up technological lines and calculate the design of construction items to solve a complete environmental problem in order to minimize the negative impacts caused by pollution. Specifically, students will be equipped with knowledge about technology and techniques through bio-physico-chemical measures to prevent and reduce pollution; waste recovery, recycling, reuse, etc.

- Environmental and Resource Management majors often specialize in technology management, environmental law and natural resources. Students will grasp technological processes, legal policies, and strategic planning with integrated knowledge of economic, technical, technological, social,... to control environmental pollution in urban areas and industrial zones as well as effective management of projects, assessment of environmental impacts to have strategies to prevent and reduce risks.

 

Depending on the training goals of each major, students can choose the right job in practice. In general, students majoring in Environmental Technology and Environmental Management can work at: Ministry, Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Ministry, Department of Science and Technology; Environmental police; Investment and construction consulting company; Design consulting company; Urban environment company; Department of Public Transport; Urban water supply and drainage company; Urban Area Management Board; Management boards of export processing zones, industrial zones, factories, etc. or participate in teaching environmental science at universities, colleges, professional and vocational schools. If eligible, they can open a private company to consult, design and assess the environmental impact of projects; cooperate with foreign partners to research and transfer technology.
