History of foundation

Faculty of Environment - University of Science and Technology – The University of Da Nang, formerly the Department of Environment under the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction, has the function of teaching subjects for the Construction industry (Ventilation, Architectural Physics, Water Supply and Sewerage) as well as subjects related to environmental technology for engineering disciplines since 1993. Due to the needs of professional development, since 2001 the Department has started training Engineers majoring in Environmental Engineering. With the continuous development of the teaching staff, quality and training scale, in October 2007, the University decided to establish the Faculty of Environment.

After many years of training, according to the urgent needs of society on environmental protection, the Faculty of Environment continued to open more majors in Environmental and Resource Management branch at the undergraduate level (2009), Environment Engineering at graduate level, Doctoral Degree in Environmental Engineering (2019), Environmental Engineering in advanced quality program (2019). In fact, over the years, the Faculty has specialized training for the main subjects: Regular full time; Full time continuing education; Postgraduate; Doctor.

The lecturers include many doctors, masters and engineers who are trained from schools with the same major in the country and especially from advanced countries in the world such as Australia, the Netherlands, Korea, France, and Japan, Russian Federation, Taiwan. The main objective is to train high-quality technical and technological human resources and provide scientific and technological services to meet the needs of sustainable socio-economic development of the Central-Highland and in the country to contribute to The teaching staff includes many doctors, masters and engineers who are trained from schools with the same major in the country and especially from advanced countries in the world such as Australia, the Netherlands, Korea, France, and Japan. , Russian Federation, Taiwan.
