Functions and mission of Department of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance
Article 11. Function
The Department of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance has the function of advising and assisting the Rector on testing, quality assurance and control
Article 12. Mission
1. Quality assurance and control
a. Advise the Rector on strategies, objective and policies on activities of quality assurance, control, stratification and ranking;
b. To assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with units in, implementing the development of projects, regulations and management documents related to quality assurance activities, self-assessment, peer assessment, quality accreditation, quality assurance information system, capacity assessment system according to core indicators (KPI);
c. Guiding units to implement the tasks of quality assurance, quality inspection, KPI system according to regulations and plans of the University;
d. Develop and implement domestic and international cooperation programs and projects in the field of quality assurance, quality control and university ranking.
2. Examination
a. Advise the Rector on strategies, goals and policies on testing activities of the University;
b. To assume the prime responsibility for and coordinate with units in implementing the development of projects, regulations and management documents related to the construction, storage and use of the exam question bank system; organize general and annual English proficiency test; coordinate in organizing the survey of standard English output; organize exam review;
c. Guiding units to carry out testing tasks according to regulations and plans of the University;
d. Develop and implement national and international cooperation programs and projects in the field of testing.
3. Capacity development training
a. Advising the Rector on strategies, objective and policies on training activities for staff in terms of quality assurance, control, testing and pedagogical competence of the University;
b. To assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with units in, implementing the development of projects, regulations and management documents related to capacity building work on: testing; formulating and developing training programs based on learning outcomes; teaching and learning methods, testing and assessment techniques; quality assurance, self-assessment, peer assessment, external internal assessment, quality assurance; quality assurance information system; KPI system;
c. To guide the implementing units to carry out the tasks of capacity building and training according to the issued regulations and plans.
4. Other missions
a. Compiling and printing publications for testing, quality assurance, quality control and capacity development training for staff;
b. Coordinate with other units in the University to perform tasks related to the unit's scope of work and other tasks as assigned by the Rector
